Other classes we are working on including will include ordering the right food while eating out, cooking at home, and maintaining your new weight after the challenge is over.

New Year’s Resolution a cliche?

Four days into the new year and it seems as though most people I’ve run across are emphatically declaring that they are not setting a new years resolution. Why has setting New Year’s Resolutions gone “out of style”?
Resolution is really just another way of saying long term goal setting- or something we want to improve or achieve over the next year. Why is it now uncool to set a goal? Fitness and health improvement resolutions always top peoples’ list at the start of the new year and so to follow the pack and set this kind of goal may seem redundant and cliche. But as adults we need these new beginnings with a specific deadline to force us into action. It is never out of style to strive to improve your health and fitness. The benefit of setting a new year’s resolution is that they are declared out loud in front of witnesses making these resolutions more serious and you more accountable for achieving it. So grab the person closest to you, declare your resolution, and get to work on achieving that goal!
